Call City's 24-hour Job Hotline at (310) 524-2378, updated as new openings occur. City vacancies are also posted at the Reception Desk in City Hall.

How do I apply for a job listed on the Job Hotline or advertised in the newspaper?

Interested individuals may request an application by calling the Job Hotline at (310) 524-2378 or picking one up at El Segundo City Hall, 350 Main St, El Segundo.

Do I need a resume?

If the job brochure requires one at the time of filing your application, then yes. However, for most positions it is a good practice to submit a resume when applying for a position. Resumes are not accepted in lieu of completing a City application form.

How long does it take to be hired with El Segundo?

Our civil service testing process averages about 4 months from advertising our job opportunity to the actual hiring of new employees.

Do you take interest cards?

No.
