The Library Administration Division directs the activities and operations of the El Segundo Public Main Library and four branch libraries on El Segundo Unified School district campuses. Administrative responsibilities include: policy development; personnel administration; annual budget preparation and administration; preparation and presentation of narrative and statistical reports for City Manager, City Council, and Library Board of Trustees; planning and development of library buildings, programs and services; promoting library activities; collaborating with Friends of the El Segundo Public Library and other community organizations for fund-raising events; and participation in cooperative library systems for resource-sharing purposes.
