• Building Safety staff attended several professional seminars related to the adopted codes and code enforcement issues.
• Facilitated the construction of development projects through pre-design meetings.
• Promoted and conducted pre-construction meetings with contractors and developers.
• Continued the accelerated plan review program for major projects including Phase I of the Plaza El Segundo project, the Aerospace Project and the Corporate Campus project.
• Provided over the counter plan reviews.
• Provided plan checking services and processed approximately 3,300 plan checks and issued over 2,800 permits.
• Provided full-service building inspection and code enforcement services.

“The Edge” -14 acres of the Corporate Campus project (approximately 250,000 square feet of new office and retail development)
