Planning Division

The Division’s primary responsibility is planning future City land use. This division analyzes data and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council. Planning is responsible for the development and implementation of the General Plan, land use regulations through zoning and subdivision codes, and environmental review of development. The Planning Division also administers the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and the Air Pollution Reduction Fund. The Code Compliance program is administered jointly with the Building Safety Division.  Some Division services include: Conditional Use Permits, Variances, Land subdivision, CEQA review, Noise Permits, Alcohol Permits, and Zoning information.
