  • Complete State mandated Housing Element Update.
  • Complete modifications to the development standards to allow assisted living facilities.
  • Complete modifications to development standards to update parking requirements.
  • Complete fire, police, library and parks mitigation fee study.
  • Begin planning, building and public works fee study.
  • Complete Processing of EIR Addendum and Development Agreement for Plaza El Segundo Phase 1B Development.
  • Complete Processing EIR, Development Agreement, General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Zone Text Amendment and Vesting Tentative Map for Plaza El Segundo Phase II Development.
  • Continue implementation of the Corporate Campus Specific Plan project.
  • Complete the Local Coastal Program Update, General Plan Amendment and Zone Change for El Segundo Power Plant property.
  • Continue the Smoky Hollow Specific Plan Update including preparation of environmental documents and completion of public hearing process.
  • Assist, administer, and implement any City Council directed efforts.
  • Expeditiously process Planning Commission Applications by presenting projects to the Planning Commission within:
    Categorical Exemptions – 21 days once a project is deemed complete;
    Categorical Exemptions with Hearing – 45 days once a project is deemed complete;
    Negative Declarations – 75 days once a project is deemed complete;
    Environmental Impact Reports – 270 days once a project is deemed complete.
  • To provide rapid and accurate plan check service by reviewing:
    Over-the-Counter (Same Day Service) Plan Check Review – 20% of all projects
    Accelerated Plan Check Review – 100% within 15
    business days
    Standard Plan Check Review – 100% within 20 business days
  • To process code compliance complaints within 5 business days of receipt of the complaint.
  • Complete annual CMP and AB 2766 compliance reporting.
