Accomplishments FY 2008/2009

  • The average “Ring Time” for 9-1-1 telephone calls was 2.25 seconds, with 99.8% of these 9-1-1 calls being answered within 10 seconds.  There were 13,309 such calls received fro calendar year 2008.
  • The average “Ring Time” for seven digit emergency telephone calls was 5.08 seconds.  There were 20,458 such calls received for calendar year 2008.
  • The average dispatch time for all Priority-One (emergency) public safety calls was 26.3 seconds.  There were 683 priority-one calls dispatched in calendar year 2008.
  • Entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with the Los Angeles Regional Interoperable Communications System (LA-RICS).  LA-RICS is a proposed countywide public safety communications system that will allow improved communications among the various public safety agencies that operate in the Los Angeles region.County
  • Developed a "Customer Service" survey to be mailed to random callers to the communications center for feedback on the quality of service rendered.
