During Spring Clean-Up Week : April 14-18, 2008 only residences with City-provided trash service may dispose of large items. All other residences should contact their building manager or the waste hauler servicing the building to arrange for disposal of large items.

During Fall Clean-Up Week: October 13-17, 2008 , all residences may dispose of large items. Residences with City-provided trash service may dispose of large items on regularly scheduled collection days. All other residences must contact the Maintenance Facility at (310)524-2709 to find what day large items will be collected in their area. Place items such as washers, sofas, water heaters, refrigerators (door must be removed or secured) with regular solid waste by 7 a.m. (curb, alley, etc.) A special truck will pick up items by 5 p.m. Please note that size and weight are limited to what two workers can lift safely.
