Multi Family Solid Waste and Recycling Services

Solid Waste and Recycling Trash and recycling service for Multi-Family residences (properties with dumpsters rather than trash cans) is the responsibility of the property owner, not the City. The type of service residents receive is the choice of the property owner, building manager, association, etc. For questions related to refuse, recycling or disposal of large items, Multi-Family residents should contact the property owner or waste hauler servicing the building. Unfortunately, not all property owners include recycling service with trash service. The City offers two options for Multi-Family residents who wish to recycle: 1. The City provides two 40-yard recycling bins for Multi-Family residents at the Maintenance Facility at 150 Illinois Street. The bins are available 24 hours a day and located at the north end of the parking lot. Click here for a list of what's recyclable. 2. Tree Musketeers, an El Segundo based youth environmental organization, does offer a subscription based curbside recycling program to Multi-Family residences. Call (310) 322-0263 to sign up for recycling services.
