The Traffic Safety Division is responsible for: Street lighting through a contract Southern California Edison Company and traffic signal maintenance through a contract with Los Angeles County. With in-house crews, the Division is responsible for painting traffic lines and legends, crosswalks, parking stalls, curbs and curb signs; maintenance and installation of street signs; posting of temporary signs for community events; installation of community banners; and abatement of graffiti on public property.
