Getting a Library Card

Q. How do I get a Library Card?

A. You need to bring a current driver's license, utility bill or other identification with your current address to the Circulation Desk to verify your address, and then fill out a Library Card Application. Cards are free for local residents and for those residing in a Metropolitan Cooperative Library System (MCLS) city; others are charged an annual fee of $40.

Q. Does the Library Have DVDs, Videos or Books-on-Tape?

A. Yes. The Library has over 6,000 videos, DVDs and over 1,000 Books-on-Tape.

Q. What About Borrowing, Returning & Renewing Materials?

A. Most materials are loaned for a period of two weeks. Videos and DVD's are loaned for three days with a $1.50 per video charge. Video proceeds go back into an account to purchase new videos. For more circulation rules and guidelines, inquire at the Circulation Desk, (310) 524-2722.

Q. Can I Renew Materials over the Phone?

A. Yes, except for videos or overdue items, you can renew by phone: (310) 524-2722.
