The City of El Segundo is in the process of revising our Hazard Mitigation Plan.This is both a requirement of federal law and a prerequisite for the City to be eligible for funding for local mitigation projects through the Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant program. Hazard mitigation activities and planning efforts can reduce the effects of hazards, protect people and property, and improve our preparation to respond to and recover from disasters.
Residents and businesses in El Segundo face a number of potential hazards such as earthquakes, severe weather, hazardous materials incidents, tsunamis, epidemics, flooding, and others. The City would like to learn more about your views and concerns on issues related to the hazards facing the City of El Segundo. Please participate in the online survey.
