The R1 Modulation Subcommittee has formulated draft regulations to address second story residential structures, and would like to share it with the Planning Commission and the general public. As such, the City of El Segundo invites you to attend a public forum regarding two-story homes and second story additions in the City’s R-1, single-family residential, zone.
The City of El Segundo will conduct a public forum on the draft regulations at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday November 10, 2016 at the City of El Segundo Council Chambers located at 350 Main Street, El Segundo, CA 90245.
The purpose of the public forum is to introduce the changes being contemplated, and no decisions will be made at the meeting to implement the draft regulations or change the Zoning Code. Future public hearings will be held for that purpose. Based on the feedback and direction received, Staff would return to the Planning Commission with a formal request to change the Zoning Code in December. The Planning Commission will then make a recommendation to the City Council regarding any changes. Separate public hearing notices will be provided announcing the date and time of public hearings to consider official changes to the Zoning Code.”
