The City of El Segundo is proud to host an ENVIRONMENTAL EXPO


This amazing Expo, sponsored by Raytheon Sustainability and Electronic Recycling Services, will feature eco-friendly products and services, as well as interactive demonstrations on how to reduce energy and water use.

     There will be a few great opportunities to recycle things from your home. Electronics Recycling Services will host a free E-Waste drop-off at their booth.  Bring in your used computers, laptops, cell phones, digital cameras, printers, scanners, monitors or other electronic devices, and you will be entered into a drawing for an IPOD Nano.  You may also bring in plastic bags to exchange for environmentally friendly, reusable bags, courtesy of Whole Foods Market (located in Plaza El Segundo).  The company "Working Wardrobes" will be there to accept donations of women’s working attire (suits, jackets, skirts, pants, etc.) which they will distribute to women in need.

The South Bay Environmental Savings Center will showcase opportunities for residents and businesses to save money and energy. Consolidated Disposal Services will offer games, activities, and prizes for kids, along with information on its recycling and sustainability programs. Many other vendors will be demonstrating additional ways to save money and protect the environment!

Stop by Western Roofing Systems Booth and enter a Chance to win a free sustainable roof, up to 4,000 sq. feet in size. As a drawing,there is a chance to win a roof in value up to $23,000.00.The drawing is conformance with the laws set by the state of California.

Be sure to stop by the City of El Segundo booth to meet staff and learn about what the City is doing to conserve energy and protect the environment. A drawing will be held for one lucky attendee to win a compost bin.

The kids will have fun meeting Deputy Dew Drop who will be at the Expo greeting folks and passing out water conservation wheels.

The Environmental Expo is sure to  inspire all of us to live more healthy and sustainable lives, while protecting our environment.
