Salary Range: $3,807-$4,628 monthly base salary for Dispatcher I. $4,202 - $5,106 monthly base salary for Dispatcher II. Initial placement within the salary range based on level of prior education, experience and training. Dispatcher II requires previous dispatch experience for a law enforcement agency.
Retirement: P.E.R.S. 2% at 55 years of age at single highest earning year (integrated with social security) & fully paid retiree medical insurance. City pays both the employee and employer P.E.R.S. contribution.
Medical Insurance: P.E.R.S. Health Care Program - $953 per month for employee/ dependents medical insurance. Mandatory participation in mental health plan (Managed Health Network).
Paid Sick Leave: Accrue 8 hours/month. Percentage of unused leave paid upon retirement or separation.
Vacation Leave: 96 hours/year 1-5 years of service; 120 hours/year 6-10 years of service; 144 hours/year 11-15 years of service; 176 hours/year 16+ years of service.
Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $1,750 annually for college tuition and books. Educational Incentive Pay: 2.5%-Associates Degree, 5%-Bachelors Degree.
Optical/Dental: Up to $135.00 per month for employee and eligible dependents' optical and dental.
Term Life Insurance: $20,000.00 term life policy provided by the City. Employee may purchase additional coverage at group rates for spouse and dependents.
Paid Holidays: Paid 104 holiday hours in December.
Shift Differential: Swing shift - 5% and Graveyard shift - 8%, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
