Retirement: 2% at 55 years of age with the Public Employees' Retirement System (P.E.R.S.) using highest earning year. F.I.C.A. 6.2% and Medicare 1.45% on all earnings.
Medical: $471.91 per month for medical insurance under a wide variety of plans in the Public Employees' Retirement System (P.E.R.S.) health care program. Additional medical coverage for eligible members/dependents is available at employee's cost. Employees required to participate in City's psychological insurance (MHN) if in a P.E.R.S. medical plan.
Optical/Dental; City pays half of monthly premium toward dental and optical coverage. Employee contributes remaining premium balance toward dental and optical coverage. City pays 50% of monthly premium toward a voluntary $30,000 term life policy.
Uniform: Uniform provided with a $240.00 annual uniform allowance paid to employee on quarterly basis.
Holiday Pay: Five (5) hours for each of twelve (12) fixed holidays and one (1) five hour floating holiday.
Vacation: Five (5) hours accrued per month.
Sick Leave: Five (5) hours accrued per month.
Tuition Reimbursement:
Up to $875 per year for tuition and books.
Miscellaneous: Credit Union and Deferred Compensation plans available for voluntary employee participation. No matching city funds provided. Up to $4,000 interest free Computer Loan Program.
