Salary Range:
$3,353.00 - $4,085.00 monthly base salary. Initial
placement within the salary range based on years of
previous Public Safety Dispatching experience.
$2000 Transfer & Relocation Bonus:
$1,000.00 paid on appointment and $1,000.00 on completion of initial probationary period. Full reimbursement to the City required by lateral dispatcher hired under this program if
separation occurs within three (3) years of hire date.
Retirement: P.E.R.S. 2% at 55 years of age
at single highest earning year formula. Paid retiree medical insurance at same level of coverage at time of retirement.
Flex Plan:
Allows for payment of employee paid insurance, medical treatment and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Medical Insurance:
P.E.R.S. Health Care Program - $678.33 per
month for employee/dependents medical insurance.
Paid Sick Leave: At hire, up to 504 sick leave hours from previous employer may transfer with verifying documentation. Available after all accumulated sick leave subsequent
to hire is used. Transferred hours not available for cash-out at time of separation. Accrue 8 hours/month and partial payment over 600 hours & percentage of unused leave
paid upon retirement or separation.
Vacation Leave: Based upon
total number of years of public safety dispatching experience. Accrued during first year of employment, but not useable until successful completion of twelve (12) month probationary
period.
96 hours/year 1-5 years of service; 120 hours/year 6-10 years of service; 144
hours/year 11-15 years of service; 176 hours/year 16+ years of service.
Tuition Reimbursement:
Up to $1,750 annually for college tuition and books.
Optical/Dental:
Up to $135.00 per month for employee and eligible dependents optical and dental.
Term Life Insurance:
$20,000.00 term life policy provided by the City. Employee may purchase additional coverage at group rates for spouse and dependents.
Paid Holidays:
Ninety-six hours paid each December.
Shift Differential:
Ninety
(90) cents per hour, swing & graveyard shifts, 5:00
p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Uniform Maintenance Allowance:
$240.00 paid annually. Full uniform provided and replaced by the City.
