FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The City of El Segundo today announced that it was suspending its program, which uses grant funding to sound insulate residential homes in the City. The suspension will involve laying off seven City employees. The City will focus its efforts on obtaining reimbursement from the federal government for funds already spent.

"Come Find Me" Art Exhibit at the Library
Check out an interactive, mixed-media art installation by Chrystal McConnell, our featured artist for August's Art Walk! Chrystal's exhibit, titled "Come Find Me," uses historic El Segundo photos and a collection of other props to create a library within a library.
The exhibit will be on display August 4 through August 27 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

El Segundo Historical Committee Meeting The El Segundo Historical Committee needs pictures of your home, neighborhood, business, downtown areas, school, church and family activities that give a view of El Segundo's past.
If you do not wish to donate your photos or other memorabilia, the Committee will make copies and return your originals. Please identify your photos as fully as possible.
