12:5  AM Hilltop Pool Closed for Filter Maintenance
Hilltop Pool will be closed on Tuesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 23 for routine maintenance. The Plunge and Acacia Pools will both be open normal hours during this closure.

2:00  PM 2014 Summer Teen Program: Book Discussion & Root Beer Floats
Between June 25th and August 6th, kids in the 6th grade and up are invited to join in on some great summer activities. Programs will take place on Wednesdays, from 2:00-3:30 p.m., in the Library's Friends of the Library Room.

July 23: Hang out with other teens, talk about books, and enjoy root beer floats. Bring the book that you have read, or are reading, to share with others. Please make sure that the books are on your reading level.

No registration is required and snacks will be served. Call (310) 524-2722 for more information.

5:30  PM Planning Commission Meeting

Planning & Building Safety's Planning Commission was established pursuant to the Planning Laws of the State of California (Sec. 65100-65106) on August 20, 1946, by City Ordinance #300. The commission is comprised of 5 members who serve with minimal compensation, for 4-year terms, without term limits. The commission makes recommendations to the City Council on the adoption or amendment of the City's General Plan; performs duties with respect to land subdivision, planning and zoning as prescribed by City and State law; and, advises the City Council on those matters falling within its charged responsibilities in a manner reflecting concern for the overall development and environment of the City as a setting for human activities. The Commission meets on the 2nd. and 4th. Thursday of each month, at 5:30p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers.

July 30: Join us for an afternoon of DIY and crafting. Craft stations will include DUCT TAPE WALLETS, FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS, RECYCLED GLASS LANTERNS, & FLOWER VASES. You choose your craft. Make as many as you have time for.
