All Day EventPlanning Commission Meeting
Planning & Building Safety's Planning Commission was established pursuant to the Planning Laws of the State of California (Sec. 65100-65106) on August 20, 1946, by City Ordinance #300. The commission is comprised of 5 members who serve with minimal compensation, for 4-year terms, without term limits. The commission makes recommendations to the City Council on the adoption or amendment of the City's General Plan; performs duties with respect to land subdivision, planning and zoning as prescribed by City and State law; and, advises the City Council on those matters falling within its charged responsibilities in a manner reflecting concern for the overall development and environment of the City as a setting for human activities. The Commission meets on the 2nd. and 4th. Thursday of each month, at 5:30p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers.
12:00  PM Library Drop-In Program: Sheet Music Roses

The library's Drop-In Programs feature a series of six hands-on activities and lecture presentations, led by library staff and local guest speakers.

Join library staff in making paper roses using sheet music. This program takes place at 12:00pm on Thursday, April 26.

All workshops are free and include supplies. For the crafting demonstrations, please feel free to bring your own supplies for inspiration. For additional information about this or other Drop-In Programs, please call (310) 524-2728.

3:00  PM El Segundo Certified Farmers Market

El Segundo Certified Farmers Market is open every Thursday throughout the year from 3pm to 7pm. Farm Fresh produce, prepared food booths and crafts are available for purchase weekly. The market is located in front of City Hall on the 300 block of Main Street. Main Street is closed to through traffic from Grand to Holly beginning at 1pm. Nearby street parking is available surrounding the market. Handicap parking is available on Holly Street East of Main.

7:00  PM El Segundo Historical Committee Meeting
The El Segundo Historical Committee needs pictures of your home, neighborhood, business, downtown areas, school, church and family activities that give a view of El Segundo's past.

If you do not wish to donate your photos or other memorabilia, the Committee will make copies and return your originals. Please identify your photos as fully as possible.

Want to find out more about El Segundo's history? The Library's Abbie Jean Krimmel Mesak Memorial Heritage Room is open to the public the first Saturday of the month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Stop in to browse the history room collections which include yearbooks, photos, mementos, and more.
