10:30  AM Free Computer Class: Photo Basics
Learn how to transfer photos from your camera or data phone to your computer. We will also cover the basics of how to organize and share your photos. If time permits, basic photo editing skills of resizing, rotating, and cropping will also be discussed.

Please note seating is limited and registration is required. Some classes take place when the library is closed and late arrivals will not be admitted 5 minutes after class begins.

Join us for the Centennial Summer Concert Series #3, featuring the funky tunes of the 70's the Disco Freaks!!

Each summer concert will celebrate the music of different decades, and will feature food trucks, arts and crafts, hula hoop contest and more! Slide in with your bellbottoms and fringe because special prizes will be awarded for the best dressed for the decade!

12:00  PM Drop-In Lobby Events: Documenting Through the Art of Photography

The library's Drop-In Lobby Events feature a six-program series with library staff and local guest speakers leading hands-on activities and lecture presentations.

The library is pleased to present local photographer Angela Elisabeth in a discussion of using a camera to capture images of the world around us at 12:00pm on Wednesday, July 26.

All Day EventPlanning Commission Meeting
Planning & Building Safety's Planning Commission was established pursuant to the Planning Laws of the State of California (Sec. 65100-65106) on August 20, 1946, by City Ordinance #300. The commission is comprised of 5 members who serve with minimal compensation, for 4-year terms, without term limits. The commission makes recommendations to the City Council on the adoption or amendment of the City's General Plan; performs duties with respect to land subdivision, planning and zoning as prescribed by City and State law; and, advises the City Council on those matters falling within its charged responsibilities in a manner reflecting concern for the overall development and environment of the City as a setting for human activities. The Commission meets on the 2nd. and 4th. Thursday of each month, at 5:30p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers.

In this class we will review what you can do with an Android phone or tablet and the basics of how to use it. We will also go over the main differences between working on a mobile device compared to using a laptop or desktop computer.

Join our Adult Summer Reading Program outdoor event--bring your beach blanket or beach chair, a bag lunch, and a book to share with the group. Look for library staff under a shady tree in Library Park at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 8 and Tuesday, August 1. Please call (310) 524-2728 for more details.
2:00  PM Totally Teen Pizza Party
Celebrate your summer reading accomplishments in the Summer Teen Program with a pizza party and movie! You must be enrolled in the Totally Teen Reading Club and must have read five books this summer to attend the Teen Pizza Party. RSVP and tickets are required. July 29th is the deadline for obtaining tickets. Parents are welcome but please do not bring friends, guests, or siblings. This event will take place from 2:00-4:00 p.m., in the Library's Friends of the Library Room.
