2014 Spring Teen Program: Teen Tech Week! DIY @ Your Library--Duct Tape Wallets or Cell Phone/iPod Cases Between March 5th and April 16th, kids in the 6th grade and up are invited to join in on some great spring activities. Programs will take place on Wednesdays, from 3:30-4:30 p.m., in the Library's Friends of the Library Room.
March 12th: Create a wallet or cell phone/iPod pocket out of durable duct tape. Perfect for gift giving or to keep for yourself.

Planning Commission Meeting
Planning & Building Safety's Planning Commission was established pursuant to the Planning Laws of the State of California (Sec. 65100-65106) on August 20, 1946, by City Ordinance #300. The commission is comprised of 5 members who serve with minimal compensation, for 4-year terms, without term limits. The commission makes recommendations to the City Council on the adoption or amendment of the City's General Plan; performs duties with respect to land subdivision, planning and zoning as prescribed by City and State law; and, advises the City Council on those matters falling within its charged responsibilities in a manner reflecting concern for the overall development and environment of the City as a setting for human activities. The Commission meets on the 2nd. and 4th. Thursday of each month, at 5:30p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers.

Concerts in the Library: New West--Traditional and Contemporary Cowboy Music Mike Fleming and New West have been a staple on the Western music scene and are considered one of the leading exponents of Western music in California. Following their recent hiatus and a headline appearance at the Wet Mountain Western Days festival in Colorado, they are back with their blend of traditional and contemporary western tunes that sound better than ever. This performance will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, in the Friends of the Library Room. The program is part of a series called Concerts in the Library, featuring classical and jazz programs, as well as music from different traditions.
Programs in the series will take place the third Saturday each month from January to May. All concerts are free and light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
