Multiday List - Layout 1 (with Skip)

This display is design for displaying series of events with their details for a predefined number of days or number of events, skipping the days that have no events.

7:00  PM Drop-In Lobby Event: The Fortune Teller, Book Reading and Signing

The library's Drop-In Lobby Events feature a six-program series with library staff and local guest speakers leading hands-on activities and lecture presentations.

Join author Gwendolyn Womack as she reads excerpts from her book The Fortune Teller, followed by signing copies on Thursday, October 19.

2:00  PM Concerts in the Library: Paul Livingstone Duo--The Music of India
This performance is an introduction to the beautiful and unique music of India with the Paul Livingstone Duo. Paul is one of the leading sitarists in America today. He has focused his studies in the creative tradition of Indian classical raga music in which he has been rigorously trained for the past 25 years in India and the United States. This performance will take place at 2:00pm. on Saturday, October 21, in the Friends of the Library Room. The program is part of a series called Concerts in the Library, featuring classical and jazz programs, as well as music from different traditions.

Programs in the series will take place the third Saturday each month from September to December. All concerts are free.

The library's Drop-In Lobby Events feature a six-program series with library staff and local guest speakers leading hands-on activities and lecture presentations.

6:30  PM Evening Book Discussion Featuring The Watchmaker of Filigree Street

Join library staff, authors, and other avid readers in a lively discussion focusing on a book-of-the-month. Free to all, the meetings will be held the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the library's Friends of the Library Room.

Natasha Pulley's novel The Watchmaker of Filigree Street is the subject of the night's discussion on Wednesday, October 25.

All Day EventPlanning Commission Meeting
Planning & Building Safety's Planning Commission was established pursuant to the Planning Laws of the State of California (Sec. 65100-65106) on August 20, 1946, by City Ordinance #300. The commission is comprised of 5 members who serve with minimal compensation, for 4-year terms, without term limits. The commission makes recommendations to the City Council on the adoption or amendment of the City's General Plan; performs duties with respect to land subdivision, planning and zoning as prescribed by City and State law; and, advises the City Council on those matters falling within its charged responsibilities in a manner reflecting concern for the overall development and environment of the City as a setting for human activities. The Commission meets on the 2nd. and 4th. Thursday of each month, at 5:30p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers.

4:00  PM Friends of the Library Business Meeting
Members of the Friends of the El Segundo Public Library meet to discuss library-related activities. The business meeting is held on a bi-monthly basis at 4:00 p.m. in the Library's Friends of the Library Room--February, April, June, August, October, and December. The business meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
