With construction scheduled to begin in 2005, Campus El Segundo will bring increased tax revenues for fire, police and school services as well as traffic improvements for the city. A new fire station site will enhance the department's ability to better serve the entire community, while an additional five acres of the site will be acquired by the city and will be entirely dedicated for athletic fields. A new daycare center will also be included in the campus and will address the needs of working parents employed at the site as well as those living throughout the city of El Segundo.
