El Segundo City Hall will officially reopen to the public on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 7:00 a.m. with new safety protocols in alignment with the  Los Angeles County Health Order.

  • Visitors will be asked to enter City Hall only through the no-touch double doors on the southeast side of Civic Plaza Courtyard by the Planning & Building Safety Department counter.
  • Both City Hall visitors and City employees will be required to wear face coverings.
  • Plexiglass dividers have been installed at public counters and markings on the floor identify six feet social distancing and between work stations (where maintaining social distancing is not possible), sanitation stations and best practices signage throughout facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  • There will also be changes at other City public facilities and locations.  For example, the City Library is open only for curbside service. At recreation and park facilities, signs will be posted that contain physical distancing protocols which encourage participants to ‘Play it Safe.’
To avoid large gatherings in City Hall, the public should make appointments for service before arriving. The safety and well-being of employees and the public remains the City's top priority.  To make an appointment with a specific department please click here for a complete directory or call the main line 310-524-2300.
