Public service is a privilege, and it is an honor to serve as your City Manager. As a community, El Segundo is experiencing significant change and I look forward to continuing to work closely with local residents, businesses, and stakeholders to protect the current high quality of life while providing for a secure future.
Your team at City Hall continues to implement City Council’s direction to ensure that El Segundo remains a great place to live, work, recreate, and raise a family. This is achieved by working closely with each City department director and more than 300 City employees to foster a culture of accountability, productivity, financial stability, and transparency.
The El Segundo City Council remains focused on providing the best possible municipal services while maintaining a balanced budget. Our City Council has led the effort to gather thoughtful feedback from residents and local businesses to ensure long-term financial sustainability. Key city initiatives for 2020 include:
- Provide high-quality public safety services
- Maintain top-notch recreation and park facilities
- Improve public infrastructure, including street and sidewalk improvements
- Ensure a business-friendly environment to retain existing businesses and welcome new employers
- Support continued success of our vibrant downtown by enhancing public areas
- Deploy more effective technology to provide user-friendly online services
El Segundo has a long history as a full-service city with a proud tradition of independence and self-confidence. Working together to implement City Council’s vision and direction, we will create a better future for our city. All of us remain focused on providing the highest levels of municipal services and to stay within our limited financial resources provided by hardworking taxpayers.
There are many exciting opportunities in 2020 and beyond.
As City Manager, my door is always open to any member of the community. Feel free to contact me directly at email@example.com or call me at 310-524-2301.
I look forward to working for you in order to ensure that the City of El Segundo remains one of the South Bay’s premier cities!
