Delinquent Accounts:
An account will be considered delinquent if the bill remains unpaid after 22 days from the date it was mailed.
Late Notice:
- Once an account is delinquent, the City will send a Late Notice to the customer of record, and a late fee will be assessed.
Shut Off Date Scheduled:
- Residential Water Service Accounts that have been delinquent for 60 days may have their water service disconnected for non-payment. Before the 60 days, the City will send a Shut Off Date Scheduled notice to the Customer of Record. The City will also send notification to the tenants at the service location or owners of the building.
Final Notice of Shut Off - Red Tag:
- Residential Service Water Accounts: The City will post written notice at the property at least 10 days before disconnection warning of imminent shut off and a red tag fee will be assessed.
- Commercial Water Service Accounts that have been delinquent for 10 days may have their water service disconnected for non-payment. The City will post a notice of imminent shut off at the location at least two business days prior to scheduled shut off and a red tag fee will be assessed.
*A Shut Off Fee due to non-payment is assessed when the water is shut off.
*A Reconnection fee is assessed when the water is turned back on.
