After you obtain a permit and begin construction work, inspections are required before you cover or conceal any work. Construction is not approved until it has been inspected and accepted by our inspection staff.
Please note that when requesting an inspection, you will be prompted to enter a date. Please select the next day, since we do not offer same day inspections.
Your permit is valid for 180 days after issuance. This validity date restarts after every inspection made.
If your permit is expired, come to City Hall to speak with our inspectors and Building Official about next steps. Depending on the length of time that the permit has been expired, reinstating the permit may be possible.
If your permit expires, the City is allowed to issue a one-time permit extension. Please come to City Hall to discuss this option with the inspectors and Building Official.
