Are you an El Segundo senior or know a senior who needs help shopping for basic necessities? You are not alone. There are many people within our community that are currently unable to go shopping because they are social distancing at home due to the COVID-19 restrictions to help control the spread of the coronavirus.
The Rotary Club of El Segundo and City of El Segundo Recreation & Parks Department have developed a COVID-19 Senior Outreachprogram to assist community members over the age of 65 who need assistance shopping. Shopping requests are limited to 15 items which can include basic foods, household goods and essential hygiene items. The program now includes prescription medication delivery for seniors. Items classified as non-essential will not be purchased.
Shopping and delivery take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays only. Payment of goods is requested on delivery in the form of cash or personal check. Hard to find or out of stock items may not be available right away; these items may be sourced elsewhere or within our community and will be delivered just as soon as possible.
