El Segundo is centrally located conveniently just south of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The 105 and 405 freeways are just minutes away and Pacific Coast Highway offers a direct north/south route through the City.
Bus options include LA Metro and Beach Cities Transit (BCT) and there are three LA Metro rail stations are located in El Segundo. El Segundo is less than 30 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach, Torrance and Santa Monica.

The Joslyn Center sells Metro monthly bus passes and Beach Cities Transit (BCT) monthly passes for El Segundo residents. Subsidized Senior and reduced fare disabled passes are available with valid Metro TAP and BCT card. Residents and those working in El Segundo may conveniently purchase regular fare, student monthly passes, Metro EZ Pass, Zone passes, daily passes, daily passes and add stored value to their TAP cards.

To use this service you must have a valid Rec ID for the current year. This service is to assist El Segundo residents (primarily our seniors and disabled) by transporting them to and from their destination of choice. The boundaries of DAR are restricted to the residential area of El Segundo. This area includes west of Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), north of El Segundo Boulevard and south of Imperial Highway. DAR dispatch can schedule riders up to two weeks in advance.
Thursdays 8:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Fee: $5.00 round trip or one way.
This service transports resident seniors and disabled to and from their doctor appointments. Riders must have a valid Rec ID for the current year. From El Segundo, riders can go as far south as Torrance, east as Hawthorne and as north as Marina del Rey. Dispatch can schedule riders up to three months in advance from the current month. Space is limited.
Monday-Friday 11:45 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
This is a free service that transports riders from the business side of El Segundo to Downtown El Segundo for lunch. The shuttle runs on a continuous loop to 17 corporate and downtown El Segundo locations.
11:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
This shuttle operates during ESUSD spring and summer breaks. Ridership is free with a valid Rec ID for the current year, otherwise it is $1.00 one-way. The shuttle runs on a continuous loop stops in residential El Segundo then takes riders to El Porto Beach.
